Building a Diverse Community Loving God & Others
We are a Rock Creek, Tanasbourne, Hillsboro, and Beaverton neighborhood church working to build an intentionally diverse community devoted to loving God and loving all people. We actively explore and bring our questions to the Bible and engage in prayer, worship and fellowship. Our hope is to be a safe community for all who come, and a people engaging in the community around us in ways that share our love and God's love for our neighbors.
Jesus said, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it; "Love your neighbor as yourself"(Matt. 22:37)
Worship- We worship God as a gathered congregation and as individuals.
Development- We intentionally pursue spiritual growth through hospitality, listening, teaching, reflection, small group study, prayer ministry, and fellowship.
Relationships- We intentionally engage in building friendships with all whom God brings our way, that all would feel welcome here.
Service & Justice- We answer God's call to pursue justice in our communities, serve the needs of others, and lift up voices of people on the margins. It's key that we do this not because it is trendy and buzz worthy, but instead because it is the right thing to do.
Mission- We invite others to relationship with Christ.
Our small group gatherings are low key and focus on generating friendships and deeper relationships with others as well as growing in our understanding of God. We eat food, pray for each other, talk about things happening in the world, share stories from our lives, and bring our thoughts and questions to the Bible.
"God has shown all you people what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God."(Micah 6:8)
